Influencer Jordan Paltrow’s Party Coded Black Tie Beach Wedding Weekend in St. Barths

| By Xenia Lar
A raw and elegant Caribbean wedding celebration inspired by nature, memory, and island glamour

Influencer Jordan Paltrow's and partner Andrew Bickley's wedding in St. Barths felt less like a traditional destination wedding and more like a beautifully unfiltered extension of their world — intimate, magnetic, and deeply personal. Over the course of a sun-drenched weekend, guests moved across the island from barefoot lunches to a sand-covered welcome dinner, where matchbooks printed with the couple’s first text exchange and bottles of their bespoke fragrance became part of the atmosphere itself. Every detail leaned into the raw beauty of the island rather than competing with it: white ceremony benches facing the Caribbean Sea, candlelit tables scattered directly across the beach, no imported florals, only salt air, music, and wind moving through the palms. Jordan’s bridal wardrobe mirrored the mood perfectly — an organza linen Danielle Frankel gown for the ceremony, vintage Cavalli for the rehearsal dinner, sequins, pearls, bare feet in the sand. Equal parts glamorous and undone, the celebration captured the kind of effortless elegance that can’t be manufactured — only lived.

Our Welcome Dinner

Our Style

I wore a one-of-one 2008 Roberto Cavalli sequin gown, which felt very aligned with the glamorous yet undone energy of St. Barths, paired with ivory sequin-and-pearl Danielle Frankel heels. Andrew wore pants he designed himself, paired with a blazer he sourced from our favorite little vintage store on Palm Beach Island called Church Mouse.

Décor & Ambience

Our welcome dinner took place at Petite Plage, overlooking the harbor in Gustavia, the main town on the island. We wanted the evening to feel more like the beginning of an unforgettable vacation than a formal wedding event. Guests flowed into the restaurant, its floors completely covered in sand, while each place setting featured a bottle of our Wharton-Bickley fragrance because we wanted guests to become immersed in the scent throughout the weekend. Matchbooks printed with our first text exchange were placed across each bartop.

Our Love Story

The Day We Met

Andrew and I met in May 2024 at the launch party for my agency, Killer Mgmt. He attended as a plus-one. The moment he saw me, he turned to his friend and said, “That’s my wife.” It was love at first sight. The next day, his first text to me was, “Hi, it’s your husband,” which is what we had printed on all the matchbooks at our rehearsal dinner. That same day, we took a trip to my family home in Southampton, and the rest was history. I guess when you know, you know!

The Proposal

Andrew proposed on Nyang Nyang Beach in Bali on our one-year anniversary. On the way there, we actually got pulled over by the police for riding our moped without helmets, and they almost confiscated the bike, completely unbeknownst to me that my engagement ring was hidden inside the seat. When we arrived at the beach, there was a long hike down, with monkeys swinging in the tree canopy above us. We had the entire beach to ourselves. It felt like our own private slice of paradise.

The Engagement Ring

I can't take any credit for the ring. Andrew designed it completely himself — he actually drew it on a piece of paper to show the jeweler. It's the most “me” piece of jewelry imaginable: edgy and modern, yet somehow still timeless. It’s completely one of a kind, with an east-west marquise setting.

Our Wedding

The Vision

Our wedding was far from conventional — a barefoot ceremony on the beach preceded by a full two-day rager across the island. It rained nonstop in the days leading up to the wedding, and we truly didn’t have a backup plan if the storm continued. But on the morning of our wedding day, the most beautiful rainbow I’ve ever seen appeared directly outside our house over the ocean in a perfect arch. I knew instantly it was my uncle Keith sending us his blessing and giving us the perfect day. We wanted every element of the wedding to embrace the natural beauty of St. Barths and everything that makes the island so special. No flowers were flown in other than those in my bouquet. We had simple white benches for the ceremony, and that was it — because what’s more beautiful than nature?

Our Team of Vendors

There are only a handful of places on the island capable of handling a wedding of our size — around 150 guests. We knew immediately that we wanted our welcome dinner to take place at Petite Plage, overlooking the harbor in Gustavia. We intentionally chose venues in completely different parts of the island throughout the weekend so guests who had never been to St. Barths could experience the full spectrum of what makes it so magical. The planning team consisted of Andrew, myself, and our close friend Ciena Quinn.

The Location

My grandparents first landed in St. Barths in the 1960s, only a decade after the first plane ever landed on the island. Back then, planes would circle the runway twice before landing so the cattle could clear the grass. What began as a simple vacation quickly became a search for the best piece of land the island had to offer. They eventually purchased Villa KAP — named after my uncle Keith Adam Paltrow, who passed away before I was born and whose ashes are spread at Colombier Beach. The house and the island mean everything to our family. It’s where all of my core memories were made. It’s the place we always come back to — freedom, legacy, and home all wrapped into one. It’s the first place I ever traveled to as a baby. Back then, you were allowed to sit in the front of the jumper plane, and I used to fight with my sister over who got to ride shotgun. So when it came time to start planning our wedding, there was never really a question of where it would be.

The Ceremony

Our ceremony took place barefoot on the sand at Hotel Le Toiny, overlooking the Caribbean Sea at sunset. It was non-denominational yet deeply spiritual, honoring both my Jewish background and Andrew’s Episcopalian upbringing. My godfather, Wyclef Jean, officiated the ceremony, which made the experience incredibly emotional and personal for us. We intentionally kept everything raw and natural — no imported florals, just the beauty of the island surrounding us.

The Cocktail Hour

Guests arrived on Defenders, which took them down the mountain to the beach. Waiters wore aprons embroidered with our last name while carrying silver trays filled with artisanal cocktails, wine, and mocktails. At the bar, we had custom embroidered linen cocktail napkins featuring an outline of St. Barths and bottles of our Wharton-Bickley fragrance.

The Reception

The reception felt incredibly intimate. Our guests sat at tables scattered throughout the beach, and by that point everyone had become so close that it truly felt like one big family. Candlelight, music, speeches, and dancing under the stars carried throughout the evening, alongside a special performance by Wyclef and a DJ set by our close friend Mona Matsuoka.

The Special Touches

One of the most special elements was creating a bespoke fragrance called “Wharton-Bickley” with our close friend Brianna Lipovsky, founder of Maison d’Etto. The scent became an olfactory signature for the celebration and instantly transports us back to the weekend whenever we smell it. To me, scent is the strongest tie to memory there is.

Our Favorite Moment

Walking back down the aisle together hand in hand after the ceremony felt surreal. Andrew dipped me right there in the sand, and afterward we went up the mountain to take our photos (he refused to see me in my gown before the ceremony), with the most perfect sunset behind us and nothing but wind and sea for as far as we could see. We looked at each other with the same “we did that” feeling.

Our Style

The Bridal Looks

For the ceremony, I wore an organza linen Danielle Frankel gown, which felt perfectly aligned with the understated elegance I envisioned for the wedding. The bottom of the gown curled under itself in an almost wave-like shape, and my veil featured hand-embroidered floral lace detailing. The veil kept catching on the foliage and shells along the beach — I truly felt one with nature. I started the evening wearing a pair of Danielle Frankel kitten heels, which quickly came off, and I remained barefoot until the after-party, where I changed into a sequin Retrofête mini dress paired with a hand-beaded headpiece sourced from Etsy and vintage René Caovilla heels. For the rehearsal dinner, I wore an early-2000s Cavalli gown with hand-embroidered sequins throughout.

The Groom Looks

For the ceremony, Andrew wore an archival Fendi suit that we sourced in Paris. For the rehearsal dinner, he wore pants he designed himself paired with a vintage Italian blazer sourced from another vintage store in Palm Beach called Church Mouse. We chose not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen.

Our Advice

For the Planning Process

You don’t need a massive team to create the wedding you want — in fact, the best people to plan your wedding are yourselves. Focus on creating something that genuinely reflects who you are as a couple instead of getting caught up in outside expectations.

For On The Day

If you’re having fun, your guests are having fun. Be as present as possible because the entire day moves incredibly quickly. And stick together!

For Post-Wedding

Give yourselves time to fully process and enjoy everything before immediately jumping back into normal life. It’s okay to go off the grid for a bit.
