Olga Guseva, The Romance Styling
“It was a fairytale wedding”—but this time, quite literally. A new wave of couples are turning away from minimalism in favor of something immersive and enchanted: scenes where ivy-wrapped ruins, quiet meadows, and centuries-old woodlands play host to vows. Ceremony spaces feel unearthed rather than constructed, cleared beneath cathedral trees or nestled beside weathered stone walls, with winding paths leading guests through overgrown flora and wild herbs. Altars take on a sculptural forms with backdrops dramatically draped in antique laces. A palette of faded rose, fern, moss, and ivory sets the tone, echoed in layered textiles, swan motifs, and floral compositions that feel both unruly and romantic. Long tables glow with the soft flicker of tarnished silver candelabras, casting shadows across antique glassware and picked-from-the-garden arrangements. Every detail is designed to feel otherworldly, as if time slows and the scene has been lifted from a classic fairytale. This is a wedding in a a realm of its own, carefully conjured to blur the line between fantasy and reality.
