With a background spanning fashion, design and digital marketing, Kayla McFadden began her career with an AAS in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology before moving from the US to France to complete her bachelor’s degree and later earn her master’s at L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués. Her path into the wedding world began in bridal design, where an appreciation for craftsmanship and the creative story behind design eventually led her into editorial. Today she works as Managing Editor of THE WED, bringing a designer’s eye to the stories, ideas and details that shape the platform.

Based in Paris, Kayla is happiest lingering over coffee on a terrace, perfecting her French or searching the vintage shops of Le Marais. Her love of making things extends beyond work to knitting and crochet, while slower days are spent out for a run or at home with her dog and two cats.
