Tiffany & Co. has unveiled the latest designs from the Tiffany Titan collection by Pharrell Williams, now featuring freshwater pearls. The range now includes necklaces and bracelets with oversized pearls, earrings and rings in yellow gold with spear-shaped elements, pavé diamonds, and pearl motifs. According to the brand's description, these designs are inspired by Poseidon and his trident.
The artist and fashion designer himself comments as follows, “The inspiration of the collection comes from my affinity with the water, and the name of the collection, ‘Titan,’ draws influence from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis. ‘Atlantis’ is also the name of the community where I grew up in Virginia Beach. In Japan, it was believed that pearls were created from the tears of mythical water creatures; so I naturally gravitated towards them as a means of expressing this connection to water.”
Later that year, Louis Vuitton's creative director of menswear unveiled the Tiffany Titan collection. This line then featured pieces in yellow gold or black titanium. The Tiffany Titan Collection by Pharrell Williams is now available on official website and in stores around the world.
